We Are Dazzling Lights

Light Pollution Doesn't Stop Northern Lights Show

In Seattle, lights are everywhere.

The recent electromagnetic event caused the Aurora Borealis to be visible in parts of Northern Alabama, I heard.

I had no idea of the event underneath the blanket of light

 pollution.

Lately I've been noticing myself catching glimpses of the stars, the

sun, the moon... the city lights.

Light is everywhere.

I am not a scientist, but if I'm remembering what I did learn a long

time ago in some class somewhere; light is created by some sort of

electricity or current.

There are electric currents that run through the ground, the plants, the air, even water, animals, and us!

The currents connect us to everything, everywhere, all the time.

Aurora Visible In Subway

During the uneventful light show I was out and about, running errands late.

While waiting on transit, I overheard multiple conversations.

People were sharing their photos with others that loved ones living
outside of the city had sent them of the Northern Lights spectacle.

It was quite nice, honestly, to hear all of the excited voices sharing their experiences.

People all over the country were having similar experiences at this time, I assume.

There was a connection to the event without even having the in-person connection.

Even to me who had no one send them pictures, I was connected.

It made me smile.

The next day while waiting on transit, again,  I looked up to see a
little bit of graffiti on a traffic light control box.

It was just writing along the top edge of the box that said, "We are DAZZLING LIGHTS."

It made me think of the aurora event all over again.

I just thought, "We are.  Aren't we?"
