A Crisp Weather Classic
Crisp weather always seems to bring a desire for aromas of apples baking and cinnamon flavors.
This Apple Walnut Crisp will ease that sweet, earthy pallet craving.
It is very simple.
Ingredients:
A pinch of salt
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, lemon juice, honey, and ground cinnamon.
Stir until evenly coated.
Transfer the apple mixture to a baking dish.
In a separate bowl, mix together the oats, walnuts, vegetable oil, flour, and salt until crumby.
Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Allow to cool 5 minutes before serving.
Serves 6-8
